Today I’m speaking for ASTD in Denver, Colorado. My topic will be how to set up and use a WordPress blog. In addition to my session there are two other presenters: Pete Cassidy is teaching on how to use Google Docs. Sean Kearney is speaking on social networking. There will be a morning and afternoon session.

In my session on blogging I’ll emphasize the ease and quality of using WordPress and the SEO features incorporated into their themes. Some of the blogging points that will be covered include:

• Using keywords in your domain name
  The importance of a good blog title
  Writing for the web-the importance of writing unique and authoritative content in your blog posts
  The proper use of tags for your blog posts
  Knowing the purpose of your blog post
• It will be a great learning experience and I want to thank Valerie Kendrick for the invitation to speak on blogging.

This week I’m in San Diego, California working on SEO projects. The SEO projects include website optimization, business blogs and socail media. The weather is beautiful here in San Diego and its a nice break from the Denver winter.
